Parent’s Prayer

My parental prayer for today:

God and Father,
Help me to love my children better today than I did yesterday;
Help me to love them for their good and not my own selfish ends.
Help me to set boundaries for their sake and not my own.
Help me to discipline them for their own good and not my own desire for control.
Keep me from the temptation of using provision for them as a guise for my own worldly desires.
And thus may I reflect to them the love that the Heavenly Father has for them and me.
In the name of the faithful Son.
Amen.
