University [and Seminary] Websites

I’m sure many of you have seen this already, but for those who haven’t, this cartoon is classic:

The Chronicle of Higher Ed has an article on it. Apparently, some folks shouldn’t think it’s only hilarious that institutions of higher education have homepages that are entirely dissociated from the goals of the site’s visitors.

    I’ve never seen this, but wow, I have thought that a thousand times over the years with virtually every university website I have ever visited!

    I love it…highly recommend it to anyone about to go through the deceptively frustrating process of applying to graduate schools.

    Yep, that says it all. And I just love it when they bury their faculty listings and pages deep underground.

      Although, with people like me landing ourselves on “faculty listings,” I understand that impulse…

    So true! Its like you have to fight your way through the weeds!!!

    I most often look for library hours, which are typically deeply embedded in the site.
